The Crew Information data entry form displayed above provides an efficient means for storing and retrieving a comprehensive amount of crew-related information. In addition to vital statistics, photo, nearest airport, lifeboat number, cabin number, passport and visa information can also be recorded. This form also provides access to job history and time off history. CrewMan supports a virtually unlimited number of vessels, departments, and job positions.
Other data entry forms and program functions are also available for managing time off by day (vs. by crew member), recording hours worked, recording payroll deductions, generating payroll (by vessel or for all vessels at once), printing pay checks, and voiding payroll transactions.
A variety of reports are currently available to display all this information in manageable formats and more reports are planned for release in the near future:
In addition to the reports listed above, CrewMan includes an easy to use Document Management System from which all crew information (including current vessel, department, job and salary) is available for mail merge into an unlimited number of MS Word documents. Crew members may be pre-flagged for mail merges based on criteria such as imminent passport/visa expiration or they may be manually selected just prior to invoking a mail merge. This provides a fast and simple means for managing crew contracts, job guarantee letters, embassy letters, employee memos, and other custom documents that need to be frequently mass produced for multiple crew members.
And of course, the system is password protected. Users may be assigned one of four different access levels, the least of which grants only limited (non-salary/payroll) display capabilities.
